SilverCloud is an evidence-based, online programme that can help to teach you techniques based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. The programme looks at both thoughts and behaviours and there are many activities to complete to help you to make practical changes in these areas to improve your mood.

The programme is interactive and flexible. We can make sure that it fits in well with your lifestyle by doing follow up sessions online or over the phone. It can be used on your phone or tablet device so that you always have access to it.

Online CBT with IESO

Online CBT with Ieso Digital Health

If the symptoms of depression or anxiety are getting in the way of your everyday life and you’d prefer the convenience of having therapy online, Ieso Digital Health provides a confidential and discreet online cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) service with real, qualified therapists. To be eligible for this service you must be registered with a GP in Camden or Islington, and be aged 18 or over.

Ieso delivers CBT in real time over the internet by a fully qualified therapist. Online CBT sessions follow the same format as traditional face-to-face therapy but take place in a secure online therapy room, allowing you to attend from anywhere you feel most comfortable. All you need is a device that can connect to the internet.

The service is confidential, discreet and easy to access, ideal for those who would prefer therapy without having to attend face-to-face sessions. Appointments can be scheduled for any time of day, including evenings and weekends, to fit around work and other life commitments.

Online CBT can be used to treat a range of common mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, panic attacks, OCD, and phobias, and has been proven to deliver outcomes that are as effective as face-to-face therapy.

Online one-to-one CBT provided by Ieso Digital Health

Ieso Digital Health delivers one-to-one Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in real-time over the internet using written (typed) conversations. Patients meet with an accredited psychotherapist in a secure online therapy room, at a scheduled time.

Access to online CBT is very quick; you can typically have your first appointment within two weeks of opting in to the service.

Key benefits include:

  • The therapy is the same as face-to-face CBT, just delivered online
  • Appointments are 60 minutes long and can be attended from anywhere patients can connect to the internet, whether on the move, or from the comfort of their own home
  • All that is required is a PC, tablet or smartphone
  • Appointments can be scheduled for any time of day, including evenings and weekends to fit around work and other life commitments
  • As the therapy is online and in written format, patients can review their session content and transcripts at any time during and after treatment
  • Some people prefer the anonymity of online therapy

How to access this free service

To be eligible for this service you must be registered with a GP in Camden or Islington. You can refer yourself to the service or you can ask your GP or healthcare professional for a referral. Self-referring allows you to access the live online therapy service promptly and easily without the need to visit your GP.

Sleepio: a scientifically proven online sleep improvement, grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques.Sleepio

What is Sleepio?

Sleepio is a digital sleep improvement programme created by world sleep expert, Professor Colin Espie, and grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

Over 6 weekly online sessions, a range of cognitive and behavioural techniques are introduced, designed to help people get their schedule, bedroom, lifestyle and thoughts into shape.

These techniques are personalised to each individual and proven to help people make the changes necessary to get to sleep faster, stay asleep through the night and feel better during the day.

What can I expect?

The Sleepio programme is a self-help programme which you can complete at a time and place that suits you. Each week there are weekly sessions which take 20-25 minutes to complete. Between sessions you are invited to complete a sleep diary, to help track your progress – this takes less than a minute each day.
If you access Sleepio with iCope, you will have a support worker who will check in at the start of the programme, and every two weeks, to see how you are finding it.

What is the evidence that Sleepio works?

Sleepio is based an established evidence-based therapy, called Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for insomnia.

The Sleepio programme has been tested in multiple ‘Randomized Controlled Trials’ or ‘RCTs’. The results of these trials show that the techniques taught during the program help people learn to fall asleep faster, spend less time awake during the night, and wake up feeling more refreshed.

Additional benefits associated with Sleepio include having more energy during the day, reduced symptoms of anxiety and depression, and improved productivity.

Does Covid-19 restrictions mean it would be difficult for you to get to an appointment? Is it difficult for you to get to appointments because you have family to care for? Do you work far away from home? Would you feel more at ease having appointments in the comfort of your own home?
