Self-management Courses

Pain management programmes or courses are offered locally for people with persistent pain – ask your GP or specialist healthcare professionals from your community or hospital respiratory team about how to go about accessing this.

While some group courses have been disrupted during the pandemic, it may be helpful to look at the following websites and to also ask your healthcare team for updates. There may be online versions of courses available to you.

All courses usually give information about managing pain, and give people the chance to meet and share experiences with others living with pain.

The following pain management services are local to the boroughs of Camden and Islington and may be accessible via self or GP referral (check the website for which type of referrals are possible):

A specialist Benzodiazepine and Opiate Withdrawal Service is also available to individuals with GPs registered in the boroughs of Camden and Islington.
